Volunteering

About forty volunteers run parade morning by checking entries in, waving vehicles into lanes, directing traffic, setting the stage, and cleaning up, and most of those jobs need no experience at all.

Every job is explained before you sign up, you pick the job you want and it is yours, and you sign a short sign up sheet that you can print for your records.

How it works

  1. Sign upRegister your vehicle, float, band, or walking group in about three minutes, and there is no charge to take part.
  2. Get your ticketYou get a ticket number and QR code on screen and by email, and you can add the date to your calendar with one click.
  3. Parade dayCheck in begins at 9:30 a.m., and when you show your QR code at the entrance a volunteer waves you into your lane.
  4. ChangesUse the private link in your email to update your entry or withdraw, and you are emailed whenever your lane changes.

Who puts on the parade

The Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of St. Robert and the City of Waynesville, work together to put on the Veterans’ Day Parade each year for our community.

veterans call
Pulaski County home

Our mission, 2026

The City of Waynesville, the City of St. Robert, and the Waynesville-St. Robert Area Chamber of Commerce jointly host the Veterans' Day Ceremony and Parade to honor the veterans who live among us. More than 6,000 veterans call Pulaski County home. They are starting businesses, working in our schools, serving on our boards, coaching our kids, and leading in every part of community life. The parade is our way of saying thank you, together, every year.

Let’s beat last year

In 2024, 65 groups brought 113 vehicles and 596 people to the parade, and we would love to see this year’s parade beat that number.
